If you attend the DIP program in-person, you sit through a lecture then take the final the same day. Must show photo ID when you attend. Please check our In Person Classes page for that schedule. Must call to register.

If you complete the DIP program online (must be 18 or older), there is no minimum time requirement. After you complete the online material you will need to contact us to set up a final exam, payment, and certificate issue. Please call our office at 301-766-0087 to schedule that. Must show photo ID when you attend.

All are welcome to take the class. However, the DIP is typically for:      

• drivers who want to voluntarily take it for another state or before a traffic court date
• drivers referred by the MVA or court
• drivers with a suspended or revoked license or applying for reinstatement
• drivers who have had a moving violation while on a Provisional License

If you are completing this as a Maryland requirement, you must bring a MVA letter or your Maryland license number in order for us to inform the MVA of your completion.
